When I scheduled this session I braced myself for a challenge - I mean, eight boys!  That could have been a difficult session!  But honestly, the boys did great!  They were all cooperative and helpful throughout the session!  Great job guys!

Ladies Night Fund Raiser

Coming up in a month I will have a booth at a local fund raiser.  This will be my first booth that I've done for my photography business and I'm both nervous and excited.  Most of all I am glad to be supporting a great cause.  Girls Night Out ~ Fundraiser for Breath of Life is supporting two local teen sisters with Cystic Fibrosis both in need of life saving lung transplants! This fun girls event will feature a coffee/smoothie bar, desserts and appetizers, music, mini massages, shopping with many local vendor and craft booths present, a silent auction and several door prizes!

Be sure to bring your friends and come and support this great cause! Proceeds from the evening go to support the Children's Organ Transplant Association in honor of Melanie & Rosie.

I've visited websites for some of the vendors and its gonna be good!  There will be some great products and services on display.  Plus who could resist helping these two sweet girls?   C'mon out and support Melanie and Rosie!

Photographer's Day Out

A local photographer friend had the brilliant idea to plan a monthly photographer's day out for aspiring photogs to get together and stretch their skills and get creative.  Each month is a different theme, location, model, etc. 

In January our brave model stuck it out through bitter cold and a sharp breeze while we tried out different poses.  At times she had several cameras right in her face but the former runway model took it all in stride.  ;-)  Thanks Emily!

 Then in February was of course "love" themed.  We got to shoot an adorable couple who were so much fun to work with.  They didn't mind the chilly weather (which was much better than January!).

It took me awhile to get the hang of the whole logo watermark tool in Photoshop.  I am pretty happy with how they are turning out now though.  ;-) 

I'm excited to see what is in store for March's PDO event: Senior Sessions.  Yeah for class of 2013!

Rainy/Snow Day!

This beautiful family braved a rainy winter day for their mini-session!  As you can see, not everyone was happy about it but they stuck it out and we managed to get some cute pix of these kids!  I had fun adding Florabella's free snow texture overlays in Photoshop to bring out the wintery feeling in a few of their photos.  What do you think of the effect?  ;-)

Christmas Card

I can't bring myself to spend a lot of money on Christmas cards.  So usually I design a little something and get 4x6 or 5x7 prints to include with our Christmas letters.  This year I am using a Photoshop template that I downloaded for free from Beauty Divine Designs' facebook page.

It was originally intended to be a Save the Date Card but as you can see, I just made a few modifications (mostly just changing the colors and text) and now its our Christmas card.

Also, I use inexpensive envelopes from Walmart.  If you are printing 4x6 cards you can use these envelopes. 

Another Sister's Wedding!

This past Friday, I was blessed to capture my sister's intimate courthouse wedding!  What a blessing it was for me to be able to be witness to their union.  For more pictures from this special day check out their facebook album.

The "B" Family

Love this family!  They braved a chilly day for some fun family pix.

  One lil gal was not a fan of the breeze and we had a difficult time getting a smile out of her.  But we went to our local Orange Leaf for some frozen yogurt and she changed her story.  ;-) 

 She was all smiles then!
